So, you have your music, and or whatever else you want to sell, now you ask yourself "What do I do next?"
Well let me tell you sonny boy, there's alot that you can do! I read alot about some of the mistakes people make, and it's more or less all about the way that you look at things. Instead of looking at people as customers, think of them as friends. I'm not going to lie, I'm a pretty bad salesman, but the few things that I have sold, I've sold to friends, and that of course is why social networks are so important.
I'm not going to tell you that how many friends you have on Facebook doesn't matter, but the quality of those friends most certainly does! If you can't rely on those friends for anything at all in your time of need, then maybe, just maybe, they aren't worth having.
Also, I will say that the number one biggest mistake that people make (myself included) is not combining your internet sales with traditional marketing stratagies. That's not to say that you have to be all lame, and pass out flyers everywhere you go, but think about some of the "outside of the box" techniques that you may have heard about others using. There's nothing wrong with passing out flyers, in addition to, lighting churches on fire! That's how all those Norwegian Black metal bands made a name for themselves....by viral marketing!
